Basic Mediation (GDC) Training

Are you interested in helping people in conflict learn to resolve their differences? Do you want to learn about basic conflict approaches and communication skills to work with people in conflict? Discover the basic principles of negotiation and conflict resolution and the mediation process through interactive activities and practice mediation sessions. 

Prerequisites: This is the first step towards certification as a mediator in Virginia.

No prerequisites are required to take this course; however, please note that to apply for mediation certification in Virginia, one must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, OR request a waiver of this requirement.
