Mediation Training

Resolution Virginia member centers provide mediation training and continuing education for mediators.  They also provide customized training for businesses, communities, schools and organizations to help people communicate and manage conflict effectively.  The calendar below lists currently scheduled training available to the public.  Please call Resolution Virginia's main line at 1-888-VAPEACE or email: training@resolutionvirginia.org to discuss other types of training or custom training.  If you are interested in a co-parenting class, please click here to go to our co-parenting class page and calendar.

Basic Certification Package

    An engaging, practice-oriented training focused on learning skills of negotiation and conflict resolution and the mediation process. 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM (1 hour break Monday - Thursday); 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Friday. (24hours total)

Family Certification Package

    An interactive training to learn mediation skills to assist families in making agreements for the future which benefit the children. 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM Monday - Friday

    This training raises awareness of and presents techniques for screening for domestic violence in mediation practice. 3:00 pm - 7:00 PM on Thursday; 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Friday.
